On the floor a the solutions exchange I ran into the servicenow folks.  These guys just went public (symbol = NOW) and are blazing a new trail in the ITIL world to enable organizations to manage hybrid environments.  This is the first year I’ve seen them at vmworld and did they ever make a splash!  In particular for me the CMDB and runbook automation were amazing.  Here’s the video highlight and demo:
