A continuation of my floor review of FusionIO and their new technology.  ION is one of those technologies that is an externally sharable solution.  The concept is you provide the x86 box, insert multiple FusionIO cards, load ION software code and boom; you have an all PCIe flash, fault tolerant (stripped across cards), sharable via FC or infiniband HIGH end storage utility.  Note; this is NOT an inband flash network accelerator but a device where your LUN’s are stored.
